Smita Shah directs her focus on MSI
January 3rd, 2017
Chicago businesswoman Smita Shah, who might have had a voice in a Hillary Clinton White House, is focusing her attention now on another subject close to her heart.
She’s been named chairman of the Museum of Science and Industry’s President’s Council.
Since 2007, Shah has supported MSI and served as a member of the council, which promotes science, technology and engineering in schools. She replaces attorney Kenneth Dort, whose term as chairman just wrapped up.
Shah’s volunteer work dovetails with her real job. She’s CEO of Spaan Tech Inc., which solves high-tech problems for big companies and organizations.
Shah also is a longtime supporter of Clinton and served on the Rules Committee for the Democratic National Convention.
