Art Institute pulls gala from the Woman’s Board
March 7th, 2017
The Art Institute of Chicago is shifting how it raises money. Museum President James Rondeau has pulled rank and told members of the Woman’s Board that they will no longer be in charge of organizing the annual fundraising gala.
That job will now be handled by the museum’s board of trustees–the business arm of the cultural institution. Food, entertainment, centerpieces and all.
Read about Rondeau’s reasoning and what Caryn Harris has to say. She serves on the Woman’s Board and the board of trustees.
It’s all in my Taking Names column in the Chicago Sun-Times.
