Duncan has some fun at Washington’s expense
May 13th, 2017
The City Club luncheon attendees were held rapt by Arne Duncan’s heart-felt pitch about his new life’s work–helping gang-bangers off the streets and into jobs.
He also offered some humor.
“It’s been great to be home and around real friends,” he said. And with comedic timing, he added, “It’s also a great time to be out of D.C.”
The mostly partisan crowd burst into laughter and applause.
Duncan’s not the only one talking jobs. For details, scroll down my Taking Names column in the Chicago Sun-Times.
