African-American leaders with a seat at the table

UPDATED 4/9–Ariel Investments President Mellody Hobson was just named to the board of directors of JPMorgan Chase. Her appointment comes as companies are under greater scrutiny to diversify their leadership ranks. Following are some Chicago-area African-American business leaders who have seats at the corporate table. Also listed: (where they work) and the boards on which they sit.

  2. It’s wonderful to see diversity in the boardroom. As a Filipino-American, I often wonder when the business world would see some representation from this talented business leaders.
